Loyal Oak HANDS (Help and Need Distribution Service) is my effort at supporting people who are in need, giving back to society, advocating for charity, and supporting legitimate fundraising campaigns.

Our friend Elissa, who now goes by Bronwyn Grace, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension in July of 2019 after an opthalmologist noticed something alarming during a standard eye exam. Prior to this, she had enjoyed hiking, long bike rides, and directing and stage managing plays. Since then, she has had two brain surgeries with long recovery times and her life has been turned upside down. If you’re not familiar with IIH, the short explanation is that her body mistakenly thinks she has a brain tumor, so it keeps sending too much cerebrospinal fluid to her head, causing crushing headaches, intermittent blindness, tinnitus, dizziness, and mental disorientation. In addition, this deprives the rest of her body of necessary cerebrospinal fluid, making it difficult even to walk for more than a few minutes. She doesn’t know if or when she’ll be able to do the things she loves again, or live any semblance of a normal life.

Bronwyn is in immediate need of 500 dollars within a week for a deposit on a place to rent.

Please check out her funding campaign HERE.

I am an author in the process of writing my memoir. I want to share my writing with you, before the editing process and before I am even finished writing my book.

I want to read to you and for you.
