Byron Williams Jr. is a former member of the legendary doo-wop and R&B/soul vocal group The Drifters. He is currently breaking new ground in the Norwegian version of The Voice. Byron had a dream since childhood. His dream was that he would be an entertainer. He tells me his story of performing at a talent show in Miami as a 33 year-old, and being invited to audition for The Drifters immediately after the talent show. Listen to this episode to hear Byron’s reasons for quitting the famous vocal group, and his reasons for getting back on the stage through The Voice. We also touch on pop culture and what it takes to be successful in it.
