Danielle Stensrud is an American expat living in Norway with her Norwegian husband and their two children. She recently took on the task of coaching basketball here in Norway. Her group of young athletes are the first organized youth basketball organization in Oppdal, Norway.
Youth athletics are arranged quite differently in Norway when compared to what Danielle and I are used to. We talk about our athletic experiences and how we use those experiences in our daily lives. The differences between our U.S.A and Norway can be quite drastic when it comes to methods of coaching youth athletes and what Norwegian parents expect from their athletic children.
